Hi there! I'm the designer behind Dumkart, and I truly believe that illustration and surface pattern design can make our lives more beautiful, harmonious, and vivid. Just think about it – from the blankets on your couch to the clothes you wear, art is all around us. My goal is to make those everyday items a little bit more special.

My journey to becoming a designer might surprise you! I actually started out working in IT. I always wanted a creative job, but I didn't quite believe in myself. Then, during my second maternity leave, I started drawing just for fun. Little by little, with lots of learning and practice, I became a surface pattern designer. It's been an amazing journey, and I haven't looked back!

I'm based in Latvia, and my main inspiration comes from nature. I love the calm beauty of Northern European scenes, but sometimes I travel "south" in my mind for some brighter ideas too! Whether it's a tiny plant or a playful animal, I find endless ideas in the world around us.

What I hope to achieve with my designs is simple: I want them to bring calmness, kindness, and joy into your home and your day. And sometimes, I just want them to make you smile! For me, art is a way to share feelings and ideas, and I hope my patterns bring a little bit of happiness to your life.
